I strongly believe this is true in all aspects of life.

Whether you are talking about growing in your career, trying to find a partner, or selling something, it's all about emotions and how others perceive you.

If they see you as a competitor, in any way, you will lose in the long run.

Great point, Leo. Competitors may win minds but collaborators win hearts. We are all more emotional than we think.

I found this an interesting read. I am retired now, so I wish I had something like this when I was at work.

Thank you for your kind words, Jeanette. I learnt this stuff after 15+ years in corporate life. None of this came naturally to me. I learnt everything through one mistake at a time.

Vijaya, enjoyed reading your article and about your son and his grandfather 💕

These are really good points especially for those who may have more issues with relationships than others for whatever reason. Could be a simple as growing up alone and not going to the same school twice never really been able to establish friendships and then learning later on in life.

Thank you Kathleen. Me and my wife have just one kid. As a shy kid, he struggled with relating to people and building relationships. But he is quite observant and watches people carefully. We had to teach him relationship building as a skill. You’re right, not everyone can build relationships naturally. But, not many believe it is a skill that can be learnt, even if you are an introvert.

it can definitely be learned. I can say that from experience and I think we're constantly learning with others aren't we? It's a good thing. 🤗
