Excellent article. One thing you talk about i.e. building unofficial influence by owning information flow and connecting silos is VERY true. This is one of the greatest way to attain power which, as you, say outlasts official titles (and a sure way to make yourself indispensable and increase your chances of getting promoted).
Understanding work culture… is part of the learning process…
Why …? Why you have a job, title, etc is all tied to organisation culture…
What is axed affecting fellow humans is the organisation interaction…
No one has full control of everything. Even if organisations build the markets change situations… or politics tinkers with stuff… so … the organism is always morphing… but with care can surely build small healthy spaces.
Agricultural economy was different because work was part of community. Over time work& family has become divided, not just in tasks or ability in proximity but also in industry& global aspects. So work situations have to find ways to help families friends& communities to have healthy interaction time…. Especially when robots are pretending to be human like.

There's something magical about how a room full of executives can sit through elaborate presentations, but the moment you put a concrete number on the table, whether it's a cost savings, revenue impact, or risk percentage, suddenly everyone's attention sharpens.
